Changing and Exciting times ahead.

It’s the final week of exams and revision. I have 4 more exams this week. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s going to be a manic week but once its done, year 2 of university is done! Then it’s 4 days a week off for 3 weeks, Sardinia for a week, being home for another week and then moving into my new place and starting my placement year. Oh and i should be signing the contracts for my new place on wednesday. A lot of change is happening.

Facebook really are dedicated to the cause with groups like this already out. Keeping in mind too that the Facebook opinion polls before the election showed that the Lib Dems were a couple of points AHEAD of the Conservatives when in reality they were oh so far behind.

Lord Mandelson says that we need to cut the countries £163bn deficit by 50% within 5 years. £1bn here, £1bn there. It’s all the same ey. What in the hell have they been doing with our money?!

14 days + 12.5 hours remaining

Living in Canterbury on my own has destroyed all momentum for revision. My first week and a half was rather good. The consequent days however have been pathetic. I’m going to a friends house tomorrow though to try and get a good day of work in. The first 4 exams i have adequately revised for so i think its time to move on to the last 4 exams. I give myself about 12 days to do those 4 modules well (slightly better than adequate!) which gives me the weekend to go over my first exam on Monday the 10th.

I can’t wait for this period to be over. I will have a whole month of no worries. I’m going to Sardinia, i plan to do lots of photography around Kent and just enjoying the time off. Then i start my new job which im very excited about. Im eager to get started!

PS - I dedicate the countdown to my Mum, Sister and Neetz.

Photography: London Fountains

I went to London today to meet up with a house mate and spent the day relaxing, eating pizza and chinese food, chilling in Hyde Park and taking photo’s. I didn’t take a great deal but i loved it none the less. Spent about an hour here practicing some shots in fully manual. Some of them came out horribly over exposed but here are the 3 that i liked the most that i took.

Photography: Canterbury Cathedral

Here are 2 of the photo’s that i took today with my new 35mm F1.8 lens. It really is a fantastic lens and all the photo’s came out really sharp. I played around with aperture priority and manual modes a lot more too and learnt so much. They came out much nicer than my auto/p mode photographs.

Awaiting my new lens!

I back ordered this baby a few days ago and am eagerly awaiting it’s arrival! It will be my second EVER lens purchase during my short 3 year DSLR ownership. Originally i had the 18-55mm which i upgraded to a second hand 18-135mm for the insanely low price of £90. about 2 and a half years ago.

This is a 35mm F1.8 prime lens. Excellent quality and cheap. Whilst i may not use it as much as my zoom lens it will get enough use to justify it’s purchase. More than anything i wanted a high aperture lens for New York in September so this way i get plenty of practice using it before the big trip. Hopefully i will have some pictures in the coming weeks!
